ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
FIRST YEAR ADMISSIONS
Eligibility Criteria For Maharashtra State Candidates and Other than Maharashtra State Candidates.
Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the SSC examination of Maharashtra state board, with minimum 35% marks.
State Board candidates who have passed Maths (Code 71) and Science and Technology (Code 72) are only eligible for admission.
In case of ISCE and CBSE Boards candidate passed with Science and Mathematics is eligible for admission.
80% Seats are filled through CAP & 20% Seats are Filled through Institute level

DIRECT SECOND YEAR ADMISSIONS
20% Seats are Filled for ITI, MCVC, 12th Science Technical Students for Direct second Year Diploma Programmes.
ELIGIBILITY
Direct Second Year Admission for ITI, with 60% marks.
M.C.V.C. with 35% marks.
12th Technical with 35% marks.
12TH Science with 35% marks.
TYPE A - (Maharashtra State Candidate)
Candidate Passing Standard VII, IX and X Examination from any recognized school in Maharashtra.
TYPE B - (Maharashtra Domiciled Candidate)
Candidate Passing Standard VII, IX and X Examination from any recognized school situated outside Maharashtra state.
Father / Mother of the candidates are Domiciled in the state of Maharashtra
TYPE C - (Sons and Daughters of Central Govt.)
Candidate Passing Standard VII, IX and X Examination from any recognized school situated outside Maharashtra state.
Father / Mother of the candidates is a Central Govt. / Govt. of India Undertaking employee who is posted in Maharashtra and reported for duty in Maharashtra state before the last date of submitting of application form
TYPE D - (Sons and Daughters of Maharashtra state Govt.)
Candidate Passing Standard VII, IX and X Examination from any recognized school situated outside Maharashtra state.
Father/Mother of the candidates is a Maharashtra State Govt./Maharashtra State Undertaking employee.
TYPE E - (Maharashtra State Candidate)
Sons and Daughters of Maharashtra state Govt./Central Govt. who is transferred to a place in another district and the candidate intends to shift to district where Father/Mother is posted.
RESERVATIONS
Reservation for Technical/Vocational Subjects from SSC Board Maharashtra State
15% seats available under General Admission Process for the candidates passing Std. X examination with Technical/Vocational subjects.
The seats reserved for these candidates shall have further reservation among themselves for Backward class category candidates.
Reservation for Sons/Daughters of Defence Service Personnel
Five per cent (5%) of the seats available under general admission process in each polytechnic.
These seats are within the sanctioned intake capacity for the course.
a) Children of Ex-service personnel who are domicile in the Maharashtra state (D1).
b) Children of active service personnel who are domiciled in Maharashtra State (D2).
c) Children of active service personnel (D3).
Who are Transferred to Maharashtra State but are not domiciled in Maharashtra State
Reservation for Physically Handicapped Candidates
Three per cent (3%) of the seats available under general admission process in each polytechnic.
These seats are within the sanctioned intake capacity for the course.
This Reservation shall be Applicable for following types of PH Candidates.
Blind/Visually impaired Candidates (P1).
Speech & Hearing Impaired (deaf & Dumb) candidates (P2).
Candidates with orthopedic disorder and Learning Disabilities, Dyslexia etc. (P3).
Note : The Certificate (Proforma F/F-1) should clearly state that the extent of Disability is more than 40% and Disability is permanent.
Reservation for Female Candidates
As per the provisions in Govt. Resolution 30% seats shall be reserved for Female candidates in all the courses coming under CAP as well as in Unaided Polytechnic which are not in CAP.
This Reservation shall be applicable for General, SC, ST, VJ/DT, NT and OBC Categories.
Seats reserved for female candidates are available under both 70% Home District and 30% Other than Home District coming Under the CAP.
There Shall be No Reservation for female candidates under Defence, Physically Handicapped and SBC Categories.
