The educational mission of the Civil Engineering under graduate program is to provide students with an multi disciplinary curriculum that is fundamental, yet broad and flexible, to produce graduates. who are well-grounded in mathematical, scientific, and technical knowledge, have the ability to analyze, evaluate, and design civil engineering systems, have the ability to communicate effectively.
Have had meaningful opportunities for undergraduate research, and who have acquired an understanding and appreciation for global and societal issues and are thus prepared for a career path toward leadership in industry, government, and academia.

Name of the laboratory: Hydraulics Lab
The objective of the Hydraulics laboratory is to carryout Physical model studies for the proposed and existing Hydraulic Structures like Dams, Barrages, Weirs, Head Regulators, Canals, Aqueducts, Under Tunnels, Penstocks, Bridges, etc
Students can perform tests and find the flow rate of equipment like venturimeter, orifice meter, and notches and can calibrate them. Darcy’s as well as Chezy’s coefficient of friction for different pipes can be found out in pipe friction apparatus. The lab is equipped with centrifugal pump and reciprocating pump in which students can find out the performance test and efficiency at different operating conditions.

Environmental Engineering Laboratory contributes mainly teaching activities and Design Project (DP) activities in the Civil Engineering Department. It provides support in a wide range of specialized areas of Environmental Engineering analysis and public health engineering to the students.
This includes: Determination Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) in the Water sample, Determination of Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) in the water sample, Standard Jar Test.
